An x-ray imaging apparatus comprises: at least one x-ray detector including a storage part storing ID information and an installation location detecting part; at least one installation part in which the x-ray detector is installed; and a control part judging which x-ray detector among the x-ray detector is installed, and on which installation part among the installation part the x-ray detector is installed based on the ID information and output value of the installation location detecting part. The x-ray detector, x-ray imaging apparatus, and control method for the same can judge which x-ray detector is installed and where the x-ray detector is installed. Moreover, identification (ID) of the x-ray detector is assigned or changed corresponding to the installed location. Therefore, not only multiple uses of the x-ray detector are possible, but also convenience of multiple uses of the x-ray detector is provided. Also, an x-ray source is automatically moved or imaging condition is automatically set corresponding to the installation location, and convenience of user control is provided. |
