Provided is a calculation and communication method of a grid value of multiple elements disposed on a cubed-sphere grid based on a spectral element method, wherein each of the elements is divided into any one of two or more groups including a first group and a second group communicating with the first group by a hardware device comprising a calculation unit including multiple calculation units; a memory electrically connected to the calculation unit; and a communication buffer electrically connected to the calculation unit and the memory. The elements included in the first or the second group are categorized as group internal elements not participating in the communication with other groups and as group boundary elements participating in the communication with other groups. According to a predefined numerical equation, a first grid value is calculated for a first grid point of a first element among group internal elements of the first group. A second grid value for a second grid point of a second element among the group boundary elements of the first group and a third grid value for a third grid point of a third element among group boundary elements of the second group are transmitted to the communication buffer or received from the communication buffer. The calculation of the first grid value is simultaneously performed along with the transmission or receiving of the second grid value and the third grid value.
