The rotor has a lundell type core with a field winding. A cylindrical portion is wound with the field winding. A set of claw-like magnetic poles (23, 34) is constituted to incorporate the field winding. A magnet is arranged between the magnetic poles. An outer peripheral face of the field winding and an inner peripheral face of the magnet are proximate to each other to hamper draft between the field winding and the magnet.
