The present invention relates to an air conditioner which transmits and receives data between a plurality of air conditioning units, and to an operation method thereof. While an extra data collector or a storage device is not connected, data about power consumption is accumulated and stored in a plurality of outdoor units, and is transmitted to a device to be connected so that data about power consumed in the air conditioner can be utilized, and a desired value according to power consumption can be set. Also, power consumption patterns can be easily decided, and measures to save energy can be easily prepared. |
