PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct a battery load test while creating the same situation as a situation in which an abnormality alarm is produced such as a situation of a fire, and to enable accurate notification of a reduction in a battery capacity.SOLUTION: A house alarm 10 operates using a battery 34 as a power supply. An alarm processing unit 70 controls an alarm sound indicating abnormality to be output from a loudspeaker 36 of a notification unit 32 if the abnormality is detected from a detection signal of a sensor unit 26. A battery testing unit 72 detects a battery voltage while a voice amplifier unit 62 amplifies a silent test signal and a drive current equivalent to that during an abnormality alarm is carried to the loudspeaker 36 in a case of conducting a battery load test on a regular basis. A battery-capacity monitoring unit 74 determines a battery capacity is reduced and controls a battery-capacity-reduction alarm to be output from the loudspeaker 36 of the notification unit 32 if the battery voltage detected in the battery load test conducted by the battery testing unit 72 is reduced to be equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold. |
