<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot forging method capable of preventing or suppressing reduction in a surface temperature of a hot forging die.SOLUTION: A hot forging method including: a die preheating step of interposing a preheating material heated at a hot forging temperature from +100°C to -300°C between a pair of hot forging dies that are an upper die and a lower die, and preheating the paired hot forging dies by the preheating material; a preheating-material removing step of removing the preheating material from between the paired dies preheated in the die preheating step; and a hot forging step of hot-forging a forging target material using the paired hot forging dies. A volume of the preheating material is twice or more as large as a volume of the forging target material.</p> |
