<p>The present invention provides a plastic bottle that makes it possible to ensure adequate usability even when a large bottle is reduced in weight, and that can deal with a top load in an effective manner. A plastic bottle (1) having indents (80) for finger insertion on at least a part of a constricted part (40) of a trunk part (4) has a plurality of circumferential ribs (100, 102, 104, 106) formed as recesses so that gaps are present in the vertical direction at a vertical position that includes the constricted part (40) and the indents (80). The circumferential ribs (102, 106) comprise divided circumferential ribs which extend circumferentially around the trunk part (4), the divided circumferential ribs being divided so as to be non-continuous at bottom surfaces (82, 84) of the indents (80). The bottom surfaces (82, 84) of the indents (80) are configured to deform so as to bulge when a top load (F) is applied to the plastic bottle (1) and return from the deformed shape when the top load (F) is released.</p> |
