PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system and a method that automatically set a coordinated multi-point (CoMP) cooperating set such that a cell not supporting CoMP transmission and reception and/or a cell incapable of performing CoMP transmission and reception is not added.SOLUTION: A radio station communicates control information on coordinated multi-point transmission and reception, in which a plurality of radio stations are involved in data transmission and reception with one terminal, with another radio station involved in the coordinated multi-point transmission and reception and/or a control station managing the radio station.
