PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet an expectation, in view of rapidly increasing data use, that high-speed packet access (HSPA) is unfolded in three or more carriers.SOLUTION: Disclosed are a method and a device for autonomously inactivating a multicarrier/multicell discontinuous reception (DRX)/discontinuous transmission (DTX) operation and a secondary carrier/cell, and explicitly activating/inactivating the DRX/DTX and the secondary carrier/cell. A user device (UE) can set at least one state variable for controlling the DRX and/or DTX in a plurality of cells, and can execute the DRX and/or DTX operation in a subset of the cell on the basis of a state variable correlated to the subset of the cell for each cell group. The UE can activate or inactivate the DRX and/or DTX with regard to all cells, a cell group, or an individual cell on the basis of an instruction from a network. |
