<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic converter which can largely set a diameter of an EGR pipe, and can suppress a stress concentration in a connecting portion of the EGR pipe.SOLUTION: A catalyst converter includes a downstream-side case 72 which has: a one-side side face part 75 which is gradually contracted in diameter toward the downstream side from an end part 70 of a cylindrical catalyst case 71 in which a catalyst for purifying an exhaust gas in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine is accommodated; the other-side side face part 76 which is bulged to the outside rather than the one-side side face part 75, and arranged in a position which faces the one-side side face part 75 with a shaft 80 interposed therebetween; and a pipe attachment part 77 for attaching a pipe 24 which forms an exhaust gas recirculation passage for making the exhaust passage and an intake passage of the internal combustion engine communicate with each other from the outside of the other-side side face part 76.</p> |
