PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug delivery device for administering a low dose of a medicament.SOLUTION: In a drug delivery device 1200, a first portion 1201 and a second portion 1202 are formed of a soft, elastic material. When an injection is to be made, a user squeezes the second portion 1202 of the drug delivery device 1200, prior to placing the device on a skin 1221. The device 1200 is then placed on the skin 1221 and the second portion 1202 is released such that the elasticity of the second portion 1202 reestablishes an original bell-shape of the device, thereby creating a vacuum in a cavity 1205. The vacuum sucks the skin 1221 at the injection site upwardly into the cavity 1205, thereby piercing the skin with a needle 1207. |
