In the present invention, initial checks are executed individually for a plurality of groups comprising a plurality of inverter circuits (9a, 9b) respectively corresponding to a plurality of multi-phase windings (3a, 3b) of a motor (3). In accordance with the results of the initial checks, opening/closing control is executed for a plurality of relays (6a, 6b) so that the timing at which power is supplied to the plurality of inverter circuits is varied. In accordance with the results of the initial checks, drive control is executed for the plurality of inverter circuits so that current flowing to the plurality of multi-phase windings is varied. |
