The power plant using a containership of the present invention comprises: a generator connected to a main engine pre-installed on a used containership or a discarded containership; an acceleration apparatus connected to the main engine and the generator to increase the number of revolutions of the engine to be transmitted to the generator; and multiple fuel tanks formed on a hull.
