PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter coloring composition which offers high brightness and excellent heat resistance and solvent resistance, and to provide a color filter using the same.SOLUTION: A color filter coloring composition contains a colorant, resin, and solvent, where the colorant contains a dye monomer (A) represented by a specific formula, and a salt-forming compound (B) comprising a triarylmethane-based basic dye and a counter compound containing an anionic group.
