The multicolor LED (3) is operated in a first operating mode when the input interface (5) receives a first control signal, and the multicolor LED (3) is operated in a second operating mode when the input interface (5) receives a second control signal. The multicolor signal arrangement (1) has an RFID device (4), and the multicolor signal arrangement (1) is configured such that the RFID device (4) receives operating mode definition information, the operating mode definition information is transmitted to the microcontroller (2), and the microcontroller (2) defines the operating modes dependent on the operating mode definition information. The invention further relates to a method for defining operating modes of such a multicolor signal arrangement and to a system having such a multicolor signal arrangement and an RFID transmission device.
