A portable power tool has a tool holder 2 into which a tool 4 is insertable so as to be movable in a striking direction 12 on a working axis 11. A percussion mechanism 6 has a striker 14 coupled via a pneumatic chamber 17 to an exciter 13 that is movable periodically along the working axis 11, and an intermediate striker 18 arranged downstream of the striker 14 in the striking direction 12. The intermediate striker 18 is guided with a tolerance 23 in a plain bearing 21, 22 coaxial with the working axis 11. The intermediate striker 18 has an annular bead 24. A hollow-cylindrical backstop 25 is arranged upstream of the bead 24 in the striking direction 12. The backstop 25 is guided in a movable manner with radial play 34 along the working axis 11 on a sliding surface 33. The radial play 34 is at least three times as large as a tolerance of the guidance of the intermediate striker 18 in the plain bearing 21, 22. |
