Provided are a blood purification device whereby bubbles in a blood purification means can reliably be removed while working efficiency during priming is maintained, and a method for priming the blood purification device. During priming, an air removal step is performed in which a blood pump (4) is driven in reverse and electromagnetic valves (V3) and (V6) are opened, whereby an overflow line (L) and a priming liquid supply line (Lc) are opened, and a dialysate as the priming liquid is discharged from the overflow line (L) while the priming liquid is supplied from the priming liquid supply line (Lc). |
