<p>A pressure regulation valve regulates pressure within a fuel passage (28) to a predetermined value, the fuel passage (28) feeding a fuel to the fuel injection valve (I) of an engine, the fuel being discharged from a fuel pump (P). The pressure regulation valve is provided with: a high-pressure port (37) connecting either to the fuel passage (28) or to a pressure regulation passage (35) connecting to the fuel passage (28); a valve chamber (42) connecting to the high-pressure port (37) through a circular conical valve seat (38) and open to a low-pressure section; a spherical valve body (39) housed within the valve chamber (42) and opening and closing the high-pressure port (37) in cooperation with the valve seat (38); and a pressure regulation spring (40) for pressing, with a predetermined set load, the spherical valve body (39) in the direction in which the spherical valve body (39) sits on the valve seat (38). The taper angle (θ) of the circular conical valve seat (38) is set in the range of 20° to 36°. The above-described configuration can prevent the occurrence of noise caused by the vibration of the spherical valve body in the diameter direction of the valve seat during pressure regulation operation in which the spherical valve body is open.</p> |
