PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exemplary system, process and method for imaging of anatomical structures and particularly for detection and imaging of atherosclerosis or atherosclerotic plaques.SOLUTION: A method comprises: providing 210 an indocyanine green (ICG) reagent as an imaging reagent to an anesthetized 200 blood vessel; keeping the ICG reagent bound to plasma protein in plaques and walls of the blood vessel; acquiring optical data with angiography to determine the presence of angiogenesis, inflammation, plaques, etc. |
