PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electrical discharge machine and a wire electrical discharge machining method capable of reducing the deflection of wires due to working fluid and appropriately electrical discharge machining a workpiece.SOLUTION: The wire electrical discharge machine includes: a first roller connected to a drive part for rotating the roller; and a second roller not connected to the drive part. The first roller and the second roller are rollers between which a wire used for electrical discharge with a workpiece, and a wire not used for electrical discharge with the workpiece and travelling for rotating the second roller are wound. A working fluid tank is provided so that the wire used for electrical discharge with the workpiece is in contact with working fluid in the working fluid tank, and the wire not used for electrical discharge with the workpiece is not in contact with the working fluid in the working fluid tank.
