The present invention provides an earphone system for enabling a listener to listen to a localized solid sound image using an earphone while naturally listening to an ambient sound. An earphone system (10) is provided with an earphone (1) to be worn on the ear and a signal output unit (13) for outputting a voice signal to the earphone (1). The earphone (1) is provided with a frame body having a cylindrical shape in which the internal space is opened at opposite ends or a shape in which a portion of the cylindrical shape in the circumferential direction is chipped, a speaker part for outputting a voice signal toward one of the openings, and a support part for supporting the speaker part at a position equivalent to the internal space of the cylindrical shape. The signal output unit (11) is provided with a signal processing unit (13) for performing signal processing on an inputted voice signal and generating and outputting the voice signal of a solid sound for which a sound image was localized at a position assumed to be outside of the head.
