Disclosed are functional coffee containing medicinal herbs which are beneficial to health by reducing side effect of caffeine, and a method of preparing the same. Functional coffee containing medicinal herbs according to the present invention comprises 30-70 wt% of coffee and 30-70 wt% of medicinal herbs, wherein the medicinal herb includes, with respect to 100 parts by weight of tonics including at least one selected from the group of polygonatum, summer cypress and cassia seed, 20-40 parts by weight of blood reinforcing agents including at least one selected from the group of salviae miltiorrhizae radix and achyranthes japonica; 10-30 parts by weight of energy reinforcing agents including at least one selected from the group of milk vetch root and codonopsis pilosula; 5-15 parts by weight of virility reinforcing agents including matrimony vine; 20-40 parts by weight of stamina reinforcing agent including cuscuta seed; and 10-20 parts by weight of antibacterial tonics including at least one selected from the group of tribuli fructus and cinnamon, the tonics includes 15-25 wt% of polygonatum, 65-80 wt% of summer cypress, and 5-15 wt% of cassia seed, the blood reinforcing agents includes 60-70 wt% of salviae miltiorrhizae radix and 30-40 wt% of achyranthes japonica, energy reinforcing agents includes 45-55 wt% of milk vetch root and 45-55 wt% of codonopsis pilosula, the virility reinforcing agents includes matrimony vine, the stamina reinforcing agent includes cuscuta seed, the antibacterial tonics includes 30-40 wt% of tribuli fructus and 60-70 wt% of cinnamon, and the virility reinforcing agent includes lycium. |
