<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for safely processing an electrolyte including a volatile fluorine compound and an organic solvent.SOLUTION: A method for processing a fluorine-containing electrolyte comprises the step of neutralizing, by adding alkaline, an evaporation residual liquid remaining after evaporating volatile components of the fluorine-containing electrolyte by heating. In the method, the fluorine-containing electrolyte is an electrolyte in a waste battery, an electrolyte of a waste battery cut or fractured, an unused electrolyte, or an electrolyte taken out from a waste battery. The method further comprises e.g. the step of performing the neutralization and the fracture of a waste battery in parallel by adding alkaline during fracture of the waste battery with volatile components of the electrolyte already evaporated, or the step of performing the neutralization by adding alkaline to pieces into which a waste battery is fractured with the volatile components of the electrolyte already evaporated. The method further comprises the steps of gathering a gas thus evaporated and then, collecting a fluorine component and organic solvent components included in the evaporated gas.</p> |
