<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can achieve a reduction in space and irradiates an image carrier with static elimination light.SOLUTION: In an image forming unit 15a, a static elimination unit 12a is arranged at a position where the distance from an intermediate transfer belt 7 is longer than the distance between the belt 7 and an adjacent developing unit 16b, which constitutes an adjacent image forming unit 15b, emits first light 131a to a photoreceptor drum 2a side, irradiates an area on the drum 2a after transfer with the first light as first static elimination light, emits second light 132a to the adjacent photoreceptor drum 2b side, causes the second light to be reflected on the belt 7, and irradiates an area on the adjacent photoreceptor drum 2b before transfer with the reflected light as second static elimination light. The static elimination unit 12a has a plurality of first LEDs 121a that are arranged along the main scanning direction and emit the first light, and a plurality of second LEDs 122a that are arranged along the main scanning direction and emit the second light, where the second LEDs 122a at the ends in the main scanning direction are arranged inside with respect to the first LEDs 121a at the ends in the main scanning direction.</p> |
