[Problem] In an absorbent article in which a groove is formed along the lengthwise direction at the surface side, to prevent deformation of the groove when worn and to facilitate the diffusion of bodily fluids in the direction of groove length. [Solution] This incontinence pad (1) is such that an absorbent body (4) is interposed between a liquid-permeable surface sheet (3) and a back surface sheet (2), a groove (22) is formed along approximately the lengthwise direction at the surface at the liquid-permeable surface sheet (3) side of the absorbent body (4), and a high-compression section (23) is formed at the bottom surface of the groove (22). At a unit segment (24) demarcating the groove (22) in the direction of groove length, the high-compression section (23) contains an oblique element (25) that is oblique with respect to the direction of groove length and extends in the direction of groove width, and a pattern is formed resulting from repeated forward and reverse inversions in the direction of groove length of the high-compression section (23) of the unit segment (24). |
