<p> A toll collection system according to an embodiment is provided with: identification information acquisition units provided in correspondence with each gate, the identification information acquisition units acquiring first identification information for a wireless tag; a first storage unit provided separately from the wireless tag, the first storage unit storing a remaining balance corresponding to the first identification information; a first identification information specification unit for referencing the first storage unit to make a comparison between a first threshold value and the remaining balance obtained in correspondence with the first identification information acquired by the identification information acquisition units, and specifying first identification information for which the remaining balance is equal to or slightly smaller than the first threshold value; a second storage unit for storing the first identification information specified by the first identification information specification unit at each of the gates; and a process execution unit for executing a prescribed process at each of the gates when the first identification information acquired by the identification information acquisition units has already been stored in the storage unit.</p> |
