According to an embodiment of the present invention, a rechargeable battery comprises: a first and a second battery cell arranged to face each other; and a case including a first and a second insertion unit in which the first and the second battery cell are inserted, and a circuit accommodation unit which is arranged between the first and the second insertion unit and accommodates a protection circuit to control charging and discharging operation. As a case structure generally covers ends of the battery cell, resistance against bending or twist weight of the rechargeable battery is increased. Also, damage of the rechargeable battery caused by bending or twist weight can be prevented. |
