<p> Provided are a composition, drug, and food for preventing, treating, and improving the symptoms of dementia. A component contained in isomerized hop extract was discovered to activate microglia. Enhancing the activation of the microglia removes foreign matter, dead cells, and the like in the brain and makes it possible to provide a composition, drug, and food for preventing, treating, and improving the symptoms of dementia. Furthermore, adding DHA to this component was also clarified to synergistically potentiate activation of the microglia.</p> |
