PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus to limit change of a drive value in an electro-pneumatic controller.SOLUTION: The exemplary method includes: receiving a control signal and a feedback signal; calculating a drive value from the signal; determining whether or not a difference between the drive value and the previous drive value is greater than a slew limitation of an electro-pneumatic controller 102; and changing the calculated drive value based on the slew limitation. In addition, the exemplary apparatus: includes a drive current slew limiter for receiving the drive value and the previous drive value; determines whether or not the difference between the drive value and the previous drive value is greater than the slew limitation of the electro-pneumatic controller; and changes the calculated drive value based on the slew limitation. The exemplary apparatus further includes a servo control processor that: receives the control signal and the feedback signal; calculates the drive value from the drive value of the control signal and the feedback signal; transmits the calculated drive value to the drive current slew limiter; and sends the changed drive value to a transducer of the electro-pneumatic controller. |
