STERILIZATION TRAY AND MOIST HEAT STERILIZATION METHOD

Provided are a sterilization tray and a moist heat sterilization method with which a resin container can be favorably sterilized using steam or hot water and deformation of the resin container can be prevented. The sterilization tray (20) is configured from a tray body (22) and a pressing member (24) capable of moving in the direction perpendicular to the tray body (22). The bottom of the tray body (22) is configured from a punched plate through which high pressure steam or hot water passes during moist heat sterilization. The frame (24a) of the pressing member (24) is configured from a porous member through which steam or hot water passes. When multiple sterilization trays (20) are stacked with resin containers (multi-chamber containers) (1) placed on the sterilization trays (20), the margins of the empty chamber sections (1b) of the resin containers (1) are pressed by the pressing member (24) of the sterilization tray (20) thereabove, making it possible to prevent deformation of the resin containers (1) during the moist heat sterilization.
