<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field sequential type display device capable of suppressing color mixture while obtaining desired luminance.SOLUTION: For display of each color of a field sequential type liquid crystal display device, a period is provided in which a light source for the color continues to illuminate from end timing of a sub-frame period until when a light-off start delay time DOFF passes. The light-off start delay time DOFF associated with an LED which starts a light-off state in a precedent sub-frame period is set to be shorter than a light-on start delay time DON associated with an LED which starts a light-on state in a following sub-frame period. Consequently, a full-light-off period in which LEDs of all colors light off is provided between light-on periods of two colors.</p> |
