PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound exhibiting control activity to genus Pythium.SOLUTION: Genus Pythium can be controlled by applying a control agent composition containing a compound shown by formula (1) as an effective component to such a place (for example, a plant which becomes a host of the genus Pythium or a soil where the plant is cultivated) that the genus Pythium (for example, a pathogen causing rhizome rot of ginger) is propagated. The compound shown by formula (1) can control the genus Pythium causing a soilborne disease which causes damage to farm products.
