摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment apparatus for liquid and semi-liquid food products serving as a low-temperature sterilization apparatus.SOLUTION: A heat treatment apparatus 1 includes at least two vessels 3A and 3B storing individual food products to be heat-treated, at least one distributor 4 which distributes food products stored in the vessels 3A and 3B, at least one stirrer 5 which is attached inside the individual vessels 3A and 3B and mixes food products stored in the vessels and a heat treatment means 6 which functions so as to operate on the food products stored in the vessels, or containers, 3A and 3B. In the apparatus 1, the heat treatment means 6 has at least one circuit 7 for circulation of a working fluid and first heat exchangers 8A and 8B, and the first heat exchangers 8A and 8B are related to the vessels 3A and 3B, respectively. The heat treatment means 6 executes at least one operation mode of removing heat from the vessels 3A and 3B by the first heat exchanger 8A and, at the same time, transferring heat to the vessel 3B by the first heat exchanger 8B.
