PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element that allows preventing a reduction in emission luminance and an increase in drive voltage and preventing the occurrence of luminance unevenness even when the thickness of a light-emitting layer is increased.SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent element (100) according to the present invention includes, above a substrate (1), a pair of electrodes comprising a positive electrode (2) and a negative electrode (8), and an organic functional layer (20) having at least an electron transport layer (6) and a light-emitting layer (5). The light-emitting layer (5) contains a host compound, a light-emitting dopant, and non-luminous semiconductor nanoparticles having the energy level of the conduction band ranging from -5.5 to -1.5 eV. |
