A case for a portable information device and a case for an image display device according to the present invention are constituted by three plate-shaped members of a holder portion (2) for storing a portable information device (smartphone (S)), a cover portion (3) for covering the holder portion (2), and an optical panel portion (4) into which an imaging optical element (micromirror array (M)) is fitted to allow the transmission of light. The optical panel portion (4) is held inclined at a prescribed angle relative to a display surface (Sa) of the smartphone (S) when these plate-shaped members are combined to form a prescribed shape. Thereby, the case can be easily transformed between a usage configuration wherein an image (I) displayed on the display surface (Sa) can be projected as a spatial image (I') and a storage configuration wherein these plate-shaped members are folded and stacked so that the overall body can be made more compact. Further, the present invention renders the case for the portable information device easier to carry. |
