<p>The present invention relates to: a reinforcing apparatus for a masonry wall, which can lower a collapse risk of a masonry wall due to an infield effect by removing both ends of the masonry wall that border both side columns and can maximize a reinforcing effect by applying pretension using a steel wire; and a reinforcing method using the same. The reinforcing apparatus for a masonry wall, according to the present invention, is formed between columns so as to reinforce a masonry wall, wherein spaces isolated from the columns are formed at edges adjacent to the columns in both ends of the masonry wall, and the reinforcing apparatus comprises: angle members provided to be fixed to both side columns with respect to the masonry wall; and a pretension steel wire unit of which both ends are respectively coupled to the two angle members provided in the both side columns, and which includes a reinforcing steel wire provided so as to apply a predetermined tensile force.</p> |
