<p>This disclosure concerns mobile electronic devices and methods for directional proximity detection of other mobile electronic devices. A first mobile electronic device (1) for directional proximity detection comprises a signal transceiver configured for wireless communication, and a control unit for the wireless communication. The control unit is operatively connected to the signal transceiver and configured to receive at least one wireless signal from a second mobile electronic device (2), calculate spatial information regarding the second mobile electronic device by means of the signal/-s transmitted from the second mobile electronic device to the first mobile electronic device, configure a notification for the user of the first mobile electronic device based on at least the spatial information regarding the second mobile electronic device, and to notify the user of the first mobile electronic device of the second mobile electronic device.</p> |
