PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform backup corresponding to cloud user's desired requirements without disclosing non-public information in a cloud undertaker to the cloud user.SOLUTION: A backup management system 100 is configured to hold a place management table in which at least either position specification information uniquely specifying the provision place of a computer resource in each cloud service 10 or range specification information specifying a predetermined range including the provision place is stored, and to accept designation related to the computer resource as a backup object and backup requirements from a user 3 of the cloud service 10, and to specify the computer resource whose positional relation with the computer resource as the backup object satisfies the backup requirements as a backup destination on the basis of the designation from the user and at least either the position specification information or range specification information of each computer resource stored in the place management table.
