摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure wave power under conditions of reproducing a water level change and velocity of tsunami acting on a structure model.SOLUTION: A platform 8 is provided on a frame 6 provided on a truck 4 of a towing tank 1 by a ball screw mechanism 9 so that the platform 8 can move up/down. A bridge girder model 12 is attached to a lower side of the platform 8 via a load cell 10 and a coupling member 11. In a state in which the bridge girder model 12 is arranged above a water level, the truck 4 is controlled to travel at a velocity matching a flow velocity of a wave that models tsunami according to a reduction scale of the bridge girder model 12 in response to a command from a controller 13. Subsequently, the controller 13 transmits a command to the ball screw mechanism 9 to move the bridge girder model 12 down to a position at which the bridge girder model 12 contacts the water level and to further move the bridge girder model 12 down to a position at which the bridge girder model 12 is submerged below the water level with a position controlled variable in response to a reciprocal of a value of the water level changing in time series of the wave that models tsunami. At this time, the load cell 10 measures a load acting on the bridge girder model 12, and wave power acting on a bridge girder by tsunami is determined on the basis of a measuring result.</p>
