1. A method for monitoring different phases of an anesthesia machine, the method comprising:
providing an anesthesia device; providing a plurality of anesthesia phases of treatment with said anesthesia device, said plurality of anesthesia phases of treatment comprising an induction phase, a maintenance phase and an emergence phase; providing a detection means; determining at least one of said plurality of anesthesia phases of treatment with said detection means; providing a display means; displaying the anesthesia phase of treatment in which the patient is at a point in time and displaying actions associated with a change from one of said anesthesia phases of treatment to another one of said anesthesia phases of treatment on said display means, said actions corresponding to processes and operations associated with said at least one of said plurality of anesthesia phases of treatment and/or said at least one transition of the patient's treatment from said first phase of one of said anesthesia phases of treatment to said second phase of one of said anesthesia phases of treatment.
