A reader learning method and device, and a data recognition method and device are disclosed. A reader learning method according to an embodiment can generate a plurality of clusters from learning data through clustering, and enables the reader for each of the generated clusters to be learned. According to the reader learning method, it is possible to cluster the learning data on the basis of general type parameter, and classify the learning data included in the cluster on the basis of the local type feature.
