<p>An embodiment of the current invention includes a computer-implemented method for imaging processing. The method includes receiving an image comprising a plurality of image voxels representing a plurality of tissue regions of a subject, determining a first set of quantitatively derived objects from the image, eroding each of the quantitatively derived objects by removing least contributory-valued edge voxels until either a single voxel is remaining in the object or the object is separated into multiple objects and dilating resulting objects using eroded voxels to produce a second plurality of tissue regions of the subject.</p> |
