The present invention relates to a biomarker composition containing carnitine for diagnosing radiation exposure and diagnosing method using the same. More specifically, carnitine, which is increased in a human fibroblast by radiation exposure, is used as a biomarker. The present invention also provides: a kit for diagnosing radiation exposure using the same biomarker; and a diagnosing method whereby the amount of increase of the carnitine biomarker of a biological sample, separated from an object to be tested, is compared with the amount of increase of a carnitine biomarker, separated from a control group. Therefore, the biomarker composition enables a user to quickly and efficiently determine whether a patient is exposed to radiation or not, and consequently to increase an effect of treatment on the patient exposed to radiation. |
