The present invention relates to a hybrid diffuser for an air conditioning apparatus, and a control method thereof. The hybrid diffuser for an air conditioning apparatus comprises: a body connected to a main duct of the air conditioning apparatus, and guiding air discharged to the inside; an exhaust controlling plate installed in an exhaust side of the body to be ascended or descended; an exhaust controlling means which operates the ascent or descent of the exhaust controlling plate; an intake control wing installed to be opened or closed in an intake side of the body; an intake controlling means which operates an opening or closing of the intake controlling wing; a temperature sensor installed in the outside of the body, sensing an indoor temperature, and transmitting the same to a control unit; and the control unit which controls the operations of the exhaust controlling means and the intake controlling means. Therefore, the hybrid diffuser can be easily manufactured with a smaller number of components, a diffusing method of a cooling and heating air discharged to the inside can be easily changed, and electric power necessary for a component control and emergency lighting can be supplied by itself. |
