PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the overall length of time taken to conduct a tomographic test and artifact due to movements of a point source-and-detector assembly.SOLUTION: An X-ray scanner having an X-ray source that radiates X rays from a point source 12 via a drawing space includes: an array of X-ray detectors 26, which are arranged around the drawing space and output detector signals in response to detection of X rays; a conveyor 22 that so conveys an object so as to cross the drawing space in the scanning direction; and at least one processor 30 that processes the detector signals to generate an image data set that demarcates an image of the object. The image has a resolution of at least 90% in the scanning direction relative to a resolution or resolutions in one or sometimes two directions orthogonal to the scanning direction. |
