A film-forming auxiliary suitable for use in a resin emulsion such as a fluororesin emulsion used as a raw material for a coating material or the like, the film-forming auxiliary containing emulsion particles, a polymer constituting the emulsion particles being obtained by emulsion polymerization of a monomer component in which the content ratio of (meth)acrylate having a ring structure is 20-70% by mass, and the film-forming auxiliary being excellent in each of low-temperature film forming properties, hot water resistance, extensibility, weather resistance, vertical-surface application properties, and warm water freezing stability. |
