<p> Provided is an electric vacuum cleaner (11) in which there is no reduction in the visibility of a dust collection device (27) by a pipe section (12), and in which a simple configuration makes it possible to minimize dust clogging in a main-body-side air path section (53). The electric vacuum cleaner (11) is provided with an intake part (68) extending downward, said vacuum cleaner having a dust collection device (27) in which dust drawn in by an electric fan (36) accumulates. A main-body case (26) is provided with a receiving protuberance (32) on which the dust collection device (27) is detachably mounted. The main-body case (26) is provided with the main-body-side air path section (53). The main-body-side air path section (53) has, at the receiving protuberance (32), a main-body intake opening (54) to which the pipe section (12) is detachably connected. The main-body-side air path section (53) has, at the receiving protuberance (32), a connection opening (55) to which is connected the intake part (68) of the dust collection device (27) mounted on the receiving protuberance (32). The main-body-side air path section (53) provides communication between the main-body intake opening (54) and the connection opening (55).</p> |
