A plate material cutting mechanism and a working method thereof are disclosed herein. The cutting mechanism comprises a position limiter for limiting a lifting height of a cutting head shaft assembly, wherein the position limiter is installed above a cutting apparatus. The position limiter comprises a positioning assembly for limiting the lifting height of the cutting head shaft assembly and a displacement adjusting assembly, wherein the displacement adjusting assembly is installed between the cutting head shaft assembly and the positioning assembly, and installed on the cutting head shaft assembly or the positioning assembly to form an interval there-between through displacement adjustment. The cutting mechanism and the working method thereof reduce a cylinder load, increase a running speed, save energy consumption, and improve working efficiency. |
