Provided are a composite separator and a secondary battery including the same. A porous coating layer including organic particles is formed on at least one surface of a substrate of non-woven fabric type. A big pore formed on non-woven fabric is filled with the organic particles. Thereby, the electric resistance, permeability, perforation strength, the probability of generating leakage current can be improved.
