The present invention relates to an apparatus for inspecting whether or not a bar code attached to a battery cell has a defect. The inspection apparatus of a battery cell comprises: a conveyor for conveying a plurality of battery cells; an inspection part for scanning the information of a bar code attached to the battery cells; a discrimination part for determining whether or not to separate a battery cell from the conveyor by determining the defect of the bar code via the scanning information of the inspection part, and transmitting a separation signal; and a conduct part for receiving the separation signal from the discrimination part and separating a battery cell with a defective bar code from the line of battery cells with normal bar codes.
